SiteOne Landscape Supply is the nation’s largest distributor of nursery, irrigation, outdoor lighting, landscape supplies, fertilizers, turf protection products, grass seed, turf care equipment, and golf course accessories.

We are seeking an experienced District Sales Manager I to join our team in Canoga Park, CA. This position provides customer sales and service in an assigned territory to achieve regional sales and profit goals. Supports the service technicians and organizes the initial software instruction to customers.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops project specifications with system designers (landscape architects, irrigation consultants, engineers and design/build contractors) to achieve pull-through sales.
  • Sells company products and services in an assigned territory to end-users, design/build contractors, and distributors.
  • Provides direction and support to the service technicians.
  • Conducts product demonstrations for potential customers.
  • Prepares project equipment and pricing proposals.
  • Provides initial controller programming instruction and organizes the initial software training for customers.
  • Maintains and updates all project files on a quarterly basis.
  • Oversees the design take-offs and tracking of the Maxi Dollar program.

Qualifications:

1.Four-year degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2.Requires four plus years outside sales and specification experience in the landscape / irrigation industry.
3.Experience in landscape architecture.
4.Must possess demonstrated sales and marketing skills and knowledge of relevant technologies (i.e. Global Positioning Systems, guidance sensors, remote sensing, irrigation, and other automation forms).
5.Knowledge of computerized central irrigation control systems and prefabricated pump stations.
6.Possess knowledge of landscape / irrigation products and practices and be able to understand and perform calculations from landscape / irrigation designs.
7.Self-starter with proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication and presentation skills.
