Reports to: Division Marketing Leader

The Regional Marketing Coordinator is a field-based marketing support role that drives the adoption of National marketing initiatives, implements successful regional marketing plans, events and programs that improves customer activation and demand creation. This role supports and is aligned with the Regional VP and Region store network to drive increased effectiveness of marketing programs while helping to drive improved efficiencies and measurement of programs to ensure they are driving expected results.

Job Description Details:

  • Coordinates the development of regional marketing plans and sales promotion activities.
  • Maintains regional calendar for communications including promotions and events.
  • Measures customer activation, return on investment and GM improvements by marketing program.
  • Initiates, implements and monitors sales promotions, incentive programs and activities.
  • Supports existing loyalty program and drives incremental enrollment within region.
  • Trains associates on existing loyalty program through webinars and conference calls.
  • Designs marketing collateral for programs and events within respective region.
  • Defines meeting and event needs for marketing and sales programs for the Product Category and senior regional management
  • Negotiates contracts with suppliers for all aspects of meetings and events including catering, lodging, and transportation
  • Communicates meeting and event information to division/regional management, field staff and dealers.
  • Builds regional merchandising strategies that are aligned by geography and with preferred and core suppliers that leverage increased product turns and margin improvements.

Position requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications required
  • 5+ years’ experience in wholesale distribution and/or marketing planning and execution for multi-store operations in a complex and competitive environment.
  • The ability to do moderate travel to branch locations, trade shows, corporate events and other industry functions
  • Experience working strategically with other team members to implement strategic merchandising plans and initiatives
  • Brand management skills.
  • Graphic Design skills preferred.
  • Social media skillsets for local engagement strategies.
  • Knowledge of advertising, promotions, research methodologies, forecasting, profit/loss analysis and/or customer relationship management.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Proactive achiever with cross functional communications experience
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to drive change
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Experience negotiating contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, featuring strong composition skills (i.e., audience appropriate, succinct and clear in content) and detail orientation (e.g., proofreading and editing skills).
  • Employs sound judgment as to what to communicate to whom, as well as the identification of the best delivery methods.
  • Creative and thoughtful with close attention to details.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in partnership with others.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet strict deadlines, and continuously juggle multiple priorities.
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and social media
