SiteOne Landscape Supply (formerly John Deere Landscapes) is the nation’s largest distributor of nursery, irrigation, outdoor lighting, landscape supplies, fertilizers, turf protection products, grass seed, turf care equipment, and golf course accessories. We are currently seeking a Planner to drive our business success at our Roswell GA corporate headquarters.

The Planner drives business success by developing consensus forecasts combining statistical analysis and market intelligence. Working with Area Sales Management, Category Management, and Supply Chain the Demand Planner develops the consensus forecast that is critical in achieving sales and profitability, customer service level, and inventory performance goals. The Demand Planner position requires an individual with a great understanding of the business environment, strong analytical skills, and detailed knowledge of Demand Planning software.

Responsibilities

* Develop the forecast
* Manage the weekly forecast process, including development and maintenance of the baseline statistical forecast
* Recognize and resolve forecasting exceptions, optimize forecast fit
* Review demand history for outliers and develop recommendation on how to treat them. Manage software settings related to outliers.

* Leverage local market intelligence
* Hold monthly Area forecast planning meetings, or S&OP meetings
* Work with Sales to determine trends, identify new products, new customers and evaluate risks
* Manage agreed upon adjustments / overrides to the statistical forecasts based on market intelligence
* Explain the forecast and develop consensus. Identify major issues affecting the accuracy of the forecast.

* Drive continuous improvement in accuracy of forecast
* Develop and distribute timely forecast performance reports for all parties following month-end processing
* Identify and lead the implementation of opportunities to improve forecast accuracy.

* Assist in new product launches, market expansions, life-cycle issues, and product supersession, and mature products
* New product introductions
* Ensure right breadth and depth of products for branches

Qualifications

* Four-year university degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Finance
* Statistical analysis skills and experience working with very large data sets
* Detail oriented, self-starter
* Experience in Supply Chain areas such as forecasting, demand planning
* APICS certification preferred
* Experience with spreadsheet tools and demand planning software
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Able to interact with management team, including senior management
