Come grow with us! Join our team as a Quote Specialist I at our Escondido, CA location. This position researches and prepares formal bids to maintain competitive advantage in the professional turf industry. Collaborates with field sales to provide sound business decisions based on product choice, price, competition and current corporate goals.

• Researches, prepares and submits bids with required information to adhere to bid opening time frames/requirements in an effort to increase sales and profitability.
• Communicates with field sales force regarding competitive bid issues, and product and pricing strategies to ensure the bid is completed properly.
• Responsible for monitoring mail and email to ensure bids, purchase orders, awards, vendor applications and other opportunities/issues are completed on time in order to capture sales opportunities and provide outstanding customer service.
• Maintains, updates and initiates vendor applications to ensure SiteOne Landscape Supply is an eligible bidder.
• Follows up after the bid has been awarded to uncover competitive information for future bids.
• Prepares a variety of documents for processing by others; may include scanning, filing, collating or indexing records in order to ensure information is readily retrievable.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. One to three years of experience in or strong working knowledge of irrigation and landscape supplies.
3. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Understanding of purchasing and inventory management philosophies.
5. Must possess analytical skills and math aptitude along with excellent customer service skills.
6. Proficient computer skills to include MS Office.
