Come grow with us! Join our team as a Assistant Department Manager at our Summerville, South Carolina location. Must have Nursery/Horticulture Experience and knowledge.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responds to basic and more complex customer questions concerning product in all areas, including recommendations for substitutions, resolves a variety of customer service issues, and processes sales transactions.
- Manages department inventory through cycle counts, identification of demand changes, and ensuring proper product mix.
- Performs administrative functions for the department, including but not limited to product receiving, purchase orders, product transfers and defective goods disposition.
- Coaches and assists less experienced staff in meeting expected customer service and satisfaction goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess one - three years experience in retail nursery industry.
- Must have knowledge of nursery, irrigation, and landscape products and practices, as well as the ability to manage product inventory.
