SiteOne Landscape Supply is the nation’s largest distributor of nursery, irrigation, outdoor lighting, landscape supplies, fertilizers, turf protection products, grass seed, turf care equipment, and golf course accessories.
PURPOSE:
Come grow with us! This position is an experienced Regional Golf Sales Manager, responsible for developing and implementing tactical and strategic plans to achieve sales revenue goals within a larger defined geographical area which reflects over $50 million of annual revenue; managing a team focused on whole good Golf sales, gaining market share and asset management in alignment with company financial goals; and developing channel partners through a team of territory managers/ sales representatives. The Regional Golf Sales Managers reports to the Vice President and is a key contributor to the regional leadership team which covers Arizona to Hawaii.
KEY FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:
- Develops and implements a plan that delivers sales performance results in alignment with sales objectives for the region. Focuses on whole good Golf sales, channel partner development and customer retention.
- Monitors channel partner performance and replaces or upgrades low- performing channel partners.
- Promotes sale of products and services to channel partners and end users and is ultimately accountable for meeting sales goals and market share goals.
- Counsels channel partners on product, marketing, financial and/or management-related matters.
- Directs dealer location planning efforts by managing the analysis of market coverage and performance to determine the most effective locations for retail outlets.
- Coaches and counsels other employees to promote employee development and professional growth; provides guidance to field staff to manage channel partner and customer relationships.
- Provides supervision of subordinate employees and/or team that includes placement, work direction, coaching, development and performance management.
- Ability to travel 25-40%
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience in a broad range of marketing and sales related job functions especially centered around channel management.
- Golf Superintendent Sales Management
- Turf Science and Agronomic Sales Management
- Internal or external industry specific experience in relevant discipline.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in a Turf Science, Horticulture or Agronomics related field
- Sales experience, golf course experience; 5-7 years of experience
- 5-7 years of golf related and sales management experience
