Come grow with us! Join our team as a Branch Manager - Nursery at our San Antonio, Texas.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Attains sales goals and Shareholder Value Added (SVA) objectives.
  2. Manages and participates in the sales transactions of the branch, including counter and phone sales and arranging for product delivery.
  3. Determines customer pricing levels for product purchases and makes point-of-sale pricing determinations in order to secure sales.
  4. Ensures the protection and proper utilization of all branch assets, including inventory, equipment, and facility.
  5. Manages the branch accounting functions, including invoicing, cash drawer procedures and balancing, return on asset, banking, and petty cash.
  6. Oversees all administrative functions of the branch, including sales transactions, purchase orders, product transfers, and defective goods disposition.
  7. Maintains consistent flow of information to area manager concerning the operations of the branch.
  8. Performs duties related to performance management, salary pay plan, succession planning, resource planning, training, and development of direct reports.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience managing nursery or irrigation accounts locally, regionally, or nationally.
  • Minimum four years' experience (including management experience) in the green distribution, irrigation, nursery, or landscape industry.
  • Managerial experience, which includes leadership, issue management, motivation, and/or team building.
  • Strong sales, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Experience in wholesale distribution and inventory management.
